Client was Bombardier who were looking to integrate Light rail into an integrated transportation system.
This project was presented to Bombardier in their QLD Milton office. The group produced various aspects, my individual section was technology & power which is what is outlined here & applauded by the client as being "daring and visionary" with appropriate calculations for integration.
The efficiency of SBSP and sustainability cannot be over looked. The Earth's atmosphere while protecting us from the harmful rays of the Sun is the no.1 reason for lack of efficiency. SBSP has a large potential to combat this.
SBSP is being endorsed in the form of research conducted by NASA, IEEE Spectrum & The US Department of Energy. It is obvious that this is the way for the future of efficient power.
Conversion, Transmission and Storage need to be worked out now that SBSP has been confirmed as the way to proceed. Research was conducted into the best possible methods to achieve this.
Designing a system in which SBSP could be SAFELY transmitted to earth had to be brainstormed and iterated frequently based off client feedback.
Calculations were based off research into the current requirements of systems which are just as large currently in all areas of the world, and maximum power requirements were calculated for system integration.
Powder printer was used to 3D print a Rhino 3D Model
Required a certain level of complexity to receive the SBSP while needing to fit into 2050 - vision project aesthetically.
